  1. I was told you have to get the fastest. Different brands have different letters. So try the fastest for the brand you bought.

  2. If your unit works fine when close enough to the current router, you should invest in an extender, not a new router.

The extender, depending on which type you choose, will be placed half way between the router and the ps3, or will have a unit next to the ps3 and another next to the router.

Either one will give you the connection you seek.

Single unit type placed between router and unit.

Unit located at router, hardwired with ethernet cable to router and plugged into wall.

Unit that is plugged into wall in same room as ps3.  Use one or more units to bring wifi to entire house.  As long as power outlet is off same circuit breaker panel.

  3. well if its a wireless router it should wrk but if u put a secerity net on.......DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT USE WPA(a type of secerity net) use WEP............WPA is more secure and is selective what devices it wrks on..........as 4 distance i dnt know.....read the box that always wrks
