I read an article which was a little over my head:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3385670

My questions are:

1) do clams have eyes?

2) If so, what do they look like?

3) Do you have a picture of their eyes?

  1. No.  Unless you glue google eyes on them.  They are designed to survive at the bottom of the ocean where it is dark and they remain stationary.  They have no reason to have eyes.

  2. Yes. Very few types of clams have eyes. Scallops are notable for this. Scallops have around sixty striking blue eyes around the rim of their shells. It is very fascinating.

Check out the link in my source for some great pictures and information.

  3. I dont think clams have eyes, they dont need to see.
