  1. I think they pay papers to release some news and keep other news OUT.

Look at the Prince Harry caper. Every paper could have made a fortune in sales and circulation so they would have had to have been compensated in some way or other.

Also, they withhold bad news until public attention is averted elsewhere. No doubt the papers know about some of these stories well in advance.

  2. The media is supposed to decide based on the released merit if its fit for broadcast. However a special address by Government Ministers must be broadcast at whatever time the government demands, typically immediately after the 7pm news.

  3. The government is like every other source in these matters. It can issue a news release about a particular issue. Then ... if it is not worth printing, it is not printed. There are a lot of agencies out there, and not everything they do is news.

    Money does not change hands.

  4. Doesn't the government own the media.

    They heavily legislate on it.

Ain't journalists a bunch of pledge your allegiance bi*ches in the way they spin for the government and always refer to people as black, white, christian, muslim, criminal and terrorist. By doing this, they devide the mind and keep the masses in trouble.
