Question:

Do HDMI "repeaters" really work?

I'm no pro, and I've got to hook up a DVI video source to an HDTV that's about 40-feet away. I need to purchase the cables and I see on Amazon that I could buy two 25-foot HDMI cables plus an HDMI repeater -- but I've never used these repeaters (and I've never tried to connect to an HDTV so far away!).

Does 1080p really work across that far of a distance?
