  1. Yes hamsters have bones.  They're vertebrate animals with full skeletons.  They do have pliable connective tissue that allows them to squeeze into tight spaces, like under a door.  So if you have one, make sure their cage is secure, or they'll escape!

  2. Yes, hamsters definitely have bones like other mammals. And they have a fuly developed skeletal system with a spinal cord and other vertebrae like mammals. Check out a diagram of their skeleton at

It is true they look and feel cuddly and it is difficult to feel their bones but they have to be taken care of too. Make sure they do not fall down from heights since they can break their bones like most of us can.

  3. yeah. if they didn't, they would just be a blob of organs in a bag on the floor. they wouldn't be able to do anything but breathe. if you want to see for your self, feel his fingers/toes the things that make them hard are his bones.

  4. Of course their mammals. Why would you think otherwise?

  6. yes, although unlike other animals rodents bones are made of more cartilage which is a tough elastic tissue which means they are more fragile. And i'm not sure where your mom got the idea hamsters don't have bones.

  7. Your mother is wrong. Of course they have bones.  They're like mice and rats in that they can flex themselves to fit into very small spaces.  But that doesn't mean they don't have bones.  So yes, hamsters have bones.

  8. lolol all mammals have bones! there vertebraes. not invertebrates. ahaha i learned that in 7 grade science!! and that means hamsters do have bones even though you can see them fit into small spaces they have bones and thats that. be sure to show your mom these answers. lol
