  6. Yes, definitely. It's a big part of the religion. Ghandi was a vegan, as well.

    I'm sure a lot of Hindus would go vegan if they knew what happened in the dairy industry. I think a lot of them in India just can't imagine how an Indian person could treat a cow so badly. They're not sacred Mothers to the farmers, they see them as objects...

    For this reason and others, I'm hoping to go to India for a month to help start an animal sanctuary and teach people about veganism, in view of moving to live there indefinitely.
