  1. I think it may depend on where you live.  Where I live kids who are home schooled do go to grad night because they are still officially registered at the school and attend special functions and are considered part of the school.

  2. Of course you do.

Your local homeschool community (in your area, consisting of all homeschoolers, not just CAVA folks) have all kinds of activities available.

Check out this site for more information. http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/regi...

By the way, homeschoolers have their very own gathering at Disneyland, known as The Not Back To School Party:  http://www.southwest-home-education.com/...

    This year's party is September 15 -17.

    All the best.

  3. Nope.  There was a girl that I graduated with, she went to college instead of senior year and was still able to go to graduation but that is completely different than your situation.

  4. If someone at CAVA makes arrangement, then yes. Ask your mom or your student advisor to arrange this. If there are enough kids that want to go and a teacher that is willing to organize it then you will be able to go.

    Best of Luck!

  5. You do not get to join the public school in graduation activities, you have to be enrolled at a school to do that. You can have a graduation night for homeschool though. I'm not really sure how it works because I did not want to have a ceremony and did not walk for graduation. There are homeschool groups all over the place, you can find some and join them (of course I am not sure what Cava is, I'll have to look into that). This is a way for homeschooled kids to meet other homeschooled kids, get some socialization, and parents can help each other by giving tips and showing each other the ways they teach and the curriculums they use. I know that the graduations I have seen for homeschoolers are held at the community college, and I think, but am not sure, that a homeschool group puts it together and any graduating homeschoolers in the area can take part. The ceremonies usually consist of under 10 kids.

  6. no

  7. School field trips do not include home schooled kids.  Ask your mom if you can be dual enrolled (maybe enroll in an elective class) at the high school so you can be included in school functions!

  8. Well I don't know if you could go with your old public school, but I know that in my area we have a homeschool organization that welcomes everyone homeschooled, even people doing online school, and we have a grad night at Islands of Adventure and a Not Back To School party each year for everyone at either a water park or another theme park.

  9. def not

  10. It depends. If your friends are allowed to bring a non-student companion, then one of them could bring you. Not all schools allow this, though; some do require that you be a student of that school. (Of course, if your friends are going to Disneyland, then surely you can go to Disneyland and figure out a way to meet up with them at some point?) However, you might consider checking into homeschooling groups where you live--you might be able to participate in a homeschool grad.

  11. nope...

  12. i'm sure you have your own 'parties; and such in your homeschool groups. join the k12 users group right here on yahoo and homeschool groups in your area and they have things you can do. if you want to plan something like a grad night, you can. just have other people join you!! :D and you can go to disneyland too...anytime ;p

  13. Nope home schooled kid miss out on a ton of school events.

  14. depends on the school! hopefully you can!
