I've played ice hockey my whole life, i've been a goalie since I was 10. I do off-ice training 5 times a week. Im thirteen right now, last year I did a skills test with hockey canada and finished first in all of British Columbia. So, what do you think the chances are of me making the NHL??

  1. if you keep working hard than there's a good chance, but you have to keep doing the same work you're already doing and probably more as you get older

  2. You have a chance. Being the best in Florida, not so good, but BC wow,

  3. Not bad at all. If you get drafted into junior and shine there- and It looks like you'll have a pretty good chance at that- you could be a serious prospect. Congrats! But it's still going to be a lot of work, you have to keep working and training to improve.

For the record, you are the first person to come in here and ask that question that might have a legit chance.

  4. Its not bad

  5. pretty good...just keep working hard!

  6. yeah, pretty good man.. just keep working even harder every day and keep your confidence up

  7. wow, first in British Columbia! that's not bad at all. I'd keep practicing and obviously stay on a team. down the road if and when you go to college you should try to play for their hockey team.

    good luck!!

  8. I am not sure what level of play you are at right now, I am assuming your at AAA or AA level if so you are at a critical age for Major level Bantam teams to start looking at you as prospect. Start by getting some contact names to Bantam teams in BC and request to attend the training camp or even practices to see where you are at, if you don't make the cut well you will know on what you need to adjust in youself or maybe they would sign you to AP card. You are the product and they are the buyers, you have to sell your skills and also personality, they love to see a young person like you who carries themself in a mature for there age matter, which also indicate that you live and breath hockey and would like to have a career in the NHL. The WHL clubs will draft players like that. Go for it little buddy.
