  1. May depend on your state, but you should be able to give them your MSF certificate and they will give you the license.

  2. According to the MSF website, they document that California motor vehicle division will accept a MSF BRC completion card (completed the course in the state of California, they will not accept cards from other states) and apply a motorcycle endorsement to your drivers license.

As I understand the document at the link above, you should not be required to take any test.  Simply show your card to the dmv and they will issue you a new drivers license including a motorcycle endorsement.

  3. because u took the motorcycle safety course, u dont need to take the drivers test. and a motorcycle permit doen't need to be held for a period of time like a car license. u just need to take ur certificate to the DMV and they'll give u aN M1 license. its that easy.

  4. the permit is to allow you ride and practice riding before you go in and take the DMV practical test ,since you've all ready taken and passed the MSF course all you need to do is take your certificate you received from the  MSF course into DMV and they'll give you your M/1 endorsement ,if it's been longer then 12 months since you last renewed your drivers license you'll have to take a written test for a general drivers license and pass this before they will give you the M/1 on it

  5. In WI we have to still buy a permit but the certificate for passing the MSF course allows us to skip the on the road licensing test.  Cal may be different, I do not know.
