I've heard that it's best to have two ferrets as one alone will get lonley but I might only be aloud to get one! But just to let you know, I probably will have to get one for a while and then a little while after that get another one!

  1. I got one before I knew much about them.  I wish I had gotten two.  She's fine and happy but I feel I have to play with her twice a day.  If I don't chase her around she won't play on her own, she still explores but it's not the same.  I've also heard from my vet that once they've been separated for awhile you can not get more or they will fight.

  2. I started with one and plans to get more. She was happy but when I got my second 2 months later she was ecstatic. Now a month and a half ago i got my third and they are all off the wall thrilled. best to have more than one.

  3. You don't have to have two. One will do just fine by itself so long as you play with him and let him out of his cage for a while everyday. We have a ferret we rescued and she's perfectly happy living by herself.

    Edit-

By the way, this is in the wrong section. Ferrets aren't rodents. ;3
