Do I Need Anger Management?

Lately everything annoys me and i have a short temper. I'm beginning to lash out on my boyfriend and i hate it. I try to control myself at times but i cant all the time. What should i do? Do i need anger management?

  1. Probably not - you should just try to relax more. Give yourself a break from stressful stuff, and do something you enjoy. If you still seem a little short - tempered after this, you maybe should get some help for it.

    i did 2 of them, it didnt help one bit.

    but find a way to deal with anger like:

    take a walk or something

  5. what do you mean by "lash out"? yelling? hitting? if it gets physical then anger management may be the way to go, but if you are just yelling, then that is probably not serious enough for anger management.  yelling is a good way of venting your emotions and it is not good to bottle your emotions inside you.  i think your bf would appreciate it if you were able to control your emotions a little more though

It sounds like (if it is lately and not always) you have some hidden issues you are not able to connect with your short temper.  You might be displacing or projecting this anger on your boyfriend.  I suggest you seek a counselor to help you figure out why this is happening!  You will feel better knowing and you might be able to keep your boyfriend if that is what you want.
