I am an American who lives in Germany at the moment and I would also love to take my 80yr old mother who will be visiting soon with me. She is a resident of the USA but holds a Jamaican Passport, does she need a visa to visit rome also?

  1. What country are you coming from?

If it's the UK, Canada or the US, the answer is no.

  2. Nope.

  3. See site below and read under "entry requirements to see that American citizens do not need a visa to visit Italy.  You can use the 2nd site to see that your mother does need a visa.  just enter her nationality, enter that she is an alien resident of the U.S.A., enter the destination, then click for the info.  You may use the 3rd site to apply for her visa.
