I live in Ontario and my ex and i were together for almost 5 years.

we lives together in 2004-2005 (1.5 years) and still together till June 2008.

We have a daughter together thats almost one (wasnt pregnant when we lived together). he moved to his parents which is next door to his job to save on travel expenses. however, he still stayed at my house at least 3/4 days a week.

We are currently going through court for custody but its still in the "temporary" states... child support hasn't even been determined yet...

what entitles you to spousal support and what are the guidelines in regards to amounts??

  1. If you are able to work you do not qualify, but thats just my states view, yours may be different.

  2. I don't know the laws in Canada, but here in my state in the US spousal support is given only if a woman has never worked and stayed home with the children for many years.
