I am 13 Years old and I do not have any experience fighting yet. I'm 5'2 and 118 pounds. I am a huge UFC fan and I'm not an idiot like most 13 year olds. Like fighting is something I am very interested in and my dad knows some guys that have fought in Bodog, UFC, and K-1. He also knows someone who has trained with the Gracies in BJJ. I am willing to dedicate alot of my time to learn how to fight. Do you think I will ever be able to make it into the UFC, Dream, Elite XC or any big MMA promotions?

  1. yeah, that is for sure. you can do it. It will take a lot of discipline. That is why the most important thing is that you must love it, otherwise, it is very hard to discipline yourself to do it days in days out.

3- 4 hours per day on traiin.

At your age, i would spend 30 minutes per day on strength training/ endurance training and spend 2 hours and a half on skills training.

when you are 16 years of age, spend 1.5 hour on strength training and 2.5 hours on skills training per day.

You keep this up and you will be great in years to come.

  2. sure you can, get training and get good. how far you make it is half circumstances...and half effort.

  3. Of course you can, you are so young!  Many of the greats didn't start until they were in their late teens and some in their 20's. If your school offers wrestling, get on the team! Enroll in a BJJ class as well as a stand up discipline like kickboxing or kempo, or if your area has an mma school, do that too.  Eat as healthy as possible, get lots of rest, make sure you're doing enough cardio.  Other sports (like basketball etc. are great for staying in shape and keeping good coordination.)  Keep your focus and you will get what you desire.  Good luck!!
