I just bought this product from Pro Power: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3029473/c_1/1%7Ccat_10199392%7CNutrition%7C11021360/Trail/searchtext%3EPRO+POWER.htm and on the back of the packaging it doesn't say whether I should add water to my creatine powder.

This is what the instructions read:

Take 1 teaspoon (3-5g) of PURE CREATINE 30-45 minutes prior to your workout on an empty stomach. recommeneded daily allowance: 3-5g. Do not exceed recommneded daily dose. Food supplements should not be used as subsitute for a varied diet.

So it doesn't explain what I have to do. Do I just eat some powder? It sound weird, if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate that, thanks again.

  1. Yeah you can mix it with water if you want. I usually mix it up with my protein shake before a workout and that's the most common method of using creatine.

  2. warm water is best as it breaks down large particles for easy absorption but creatine is best used for short periods only

as it puts pressure on the kidneys and liver

  3. First use of creatine may require you to 'load' it. When i was 'loading' i was taking 5g on waking, 5g 30mins before training and 5g straight after and 5g before bed for 5 days. after  days the loading phase is done and you can just take 5g before training and 5g after. i just have a teaspoon full in my mouth then swig some water, swill it around and swallow. easily done! at the same time a creatine tho i also take 5g glutamine. you can mix it with juice, protien shakes, anything really so its down to you.

  4. No. Mix it with grape, or orange juice. The sugars will make it absorb faster. You can also load it into your after workout protein shake.

  5. Creatine is best absorbed by the muscles when there is a concurent insulin spike. You do this by mixing your creating with a high GI fruit juice. Grape is a good choice. Take your creatine one hour before workout and on off days take it in the morning before breakfast.

  6. No, you put it in a cut and mix it with water or whatever you choose. You don't add water directly to the container. That would essentially waste the creatine, as it converts into a different compound when you leave it in water too long.
