Been friends with *Kate* for 8 years she is 27 I'm 22. She was married previously and it did not work out they divorced about 4 years ago. Anyway always been very close friends I stuck with her through thick and thin. For a while after the divorce she started to go off the rails and go on rebounds with loser guys etc but in the end stayed single for a while.*Kate* is so pretty and intelligent has everything going for her and I consider her one of my closest friends.Anyway she met a new guy around 4 months ago, within 3 weeks she had moved in with him.I was over the moon for her at first-as she seemed so happy - Until I met him.He is rude, arrogant, insulting, jealous of *Kate* and I if we go out,if we laugh,if we chat on the phone.Last time I was up at theirs he was so rude to me and ended up shouting at me. He has also text me malicious things off of her phone then said "it was a joke". I know personality counts but he has an ugly personality and is ugly looking. There are rumours I have heard about him doing drugs etc and I believe them. She also told me she has to give him money for everything! *Kate* has so much going for her but I cannot be around her when she is with him - I really can't stand him. She is besotted with him and I feel we are growing apart so what do I do?

  1. Lucky for Kate for having such a loyal friend like yourself and she'd be sorry if she would ever to lose your friendship. I could only say that give her another girl talk with this current guy and make her understand that he is a bad influence on her. But if she not to listen to your reason, at least you tried your best and you can only do so much for people. Although, I know it would hurt to see your friend to get hurt again.

Although, it seems your friend Kate has a behaviorial pattern for going after the same guys.. I would suggest for her to see a counsellor for this in an abusive relationship.

  2. tell her exactly how you feel spare no details, talk to her man too. if she doesn't do anything about leave it be. theres only so much you can do for people

  3. talk to her about it
