Do I even have a chance?

I was in a car accident last night and I want to sue the state. I was on a road I was unfimilar with and there were no signs to warn me of the very sharp turn ahead so I didn't slow down or anything and I took it kinda fast. I lost control of the car and wrecked and my car is now totaled. Unfortunatly in I've already had two speeding tickets and one wreck which means this is the one that will make me lost my lisence for I dunno how long. I want to get a lawyer and sue the state for their lack of warning, but I don't even know where to start. I was reccomended this lawyer Dan Hunt (I Missouri) but I have no idea how to even get ahold of him and I would need money to pay for him, but I have no credit (not bad credit, just none) Would a Credit Union give me a loan. Help???

  1. If the road is a public road, you MIGHT have a chance...But your record is against you...It is the driver's responsibility to adjust to road conditions...If you don't know the road and the visibility was not good (dark), then you were going too fast for that situation.

You will not need an attorney unless you were cited by the police...The only way it would seem that you could bring suit against the state is that if there were other mishaps at the same location under the same conditions...Then you could pursue a class-action lawsuit...Otherwise, save your money.

  2. I would say that you would not have a good chance because...

    1. it was at night.

    2. your speed was to high.

    3. you were not in control of the car.

  3. i dont think you have a leg to stand on! its common sense that if you are not familliar with the road you are driving on you SLOW down especially at night

  4. Drive to the road conditions and your ability's,sorry your on a loser but you are still alive,TWERP.

  5. Whenever you are driving on unfamiliar roads then you drive slower.

You can try the legal route but you probably won't get far.

  6. Let's get a few things straight....when driving at night....always take your time....don't depend on others on the road to look out for you....look out for those that aren't looking out for you...If you didn't know the road you should've taken it a bit slower....Your record isn't the cleanest..:S... Try to talk it out with a lawyer if you can....if there's no consultation fee involved....

Check him out at this number...Dan Hunt   (636) 561-5609   4 Chestnut Hill Ct,  O Fallon, MO 63368....

Best of Luck....Try to be more careful next time!....
