Do I find out if I am using a 32-bit or a 64-bit version OS?

  1. Press Windows key+Pause button to display the computer properties. You should be able to see the OS description in it.

    Or you can check if you have two program files dir like Program Files and Program Files (x86). If you do, it means you have a 64-bit os.


  2. in vista, click start button. right click on computer and select properties. in system type column it shows which version you are using.

  3. if its xp right click on my computer thin choose propertys and it will say there, if it says 64-bit next to the service pack you have thin thats what you have if it says nothing thin you have the 32-bit

  4. By clicking start, all programs, tools and system information

  5. you are unlikely to be using a 64 bit OS

    you would know, if you were

  6. Your using 32-bit. Unless you payed around a thousand dollars for your OS.
