Question:

Do I get a tax rebate?

On my turbo tax form it doesn't have any number in the line for rebate. I thought I qualified otherwise though. I did owe $77 but I paid it, do I still receive a rebate check? Also, according to my SS number I should've received one on May 9th.

  1. If you owed money on your 2007 tax return, you will get a paper check the mail.  Those just started coming out.

If you otherwise meet the income requirements and were not claimed as a dependent by anyone else, you should get a rebate based on the paper check mailing schedule.

  2. www.irs.com

    1.low wage wrkr.

    2.survivor benefits.

    3.disable,retired,or survivor benfits.

    1 million pepo w/last s.s.# & thru IRS.

  3. http://www.irs.gov/irs/article/0,,id=180...

  4. If you owed, you are getting a paper check, not direct deposit - look at the paper check part of the schedule, not the dd part where May 9 is.

If you have a ss#, and are NOT a dependent, you should get a rebate assuming the $77 was for income tax and not for something else like a penalty or for self-employment tax.
