Do I get another one?

Question

Alright, I got an african soft fur rat/mouse from the pet store. The lady gave me 2 of them because she said that she thought they were to cute to go as rat food so I felt bad for them.

Well they were both fine but they got out of the cage yesterday because all I had was a little one or whatever and the bottom slides out and my cat hit it right to knock the bottom out and they both got out.

Well I put them back in but the only thing I can think is that it scared the one so much and that is why he died because before that they were climbing around acting perfectly.

I was going to take them to a rescue but now with just one I feel really bad putting it through that stress but I don't know what to do. Do I still take it to the rescue or should I try to find it another friend or what?

Awwe, I'm so sorry, but yeah, take them to the vet/rescue place, and they'll make them fell all better.

Just keep the one you have, but don't get another one.

I would'nt get another one cuz it might bring back sad memories of your rat. Also if you took your rat to the rescue vet you would make him suffer a lot more :( :( :(

if you get another one it wont get along with it. they need to be born together to be caged together.

just keep it, but spend loads of time with it. you could always get another one.
