A quick question. I've been wondering about this for awhile now, say I install a program which takes up 400MBs, if I uninstall that program does my memory replenish?

  1. A few of my brain cells just killed themselves.

I give you 12/10 on the Stupid scale my friend

  2. Yes. Install 400 MB takes up 400 MB.

Uninstall removes 400MB from the system.

You added now you removed it.

  3. Yes when you uninstall a program the space returns, when deleting a file remember to empty the bin! But then all your space is yourse again!

  4. Anything that is running is using ram --- even a desktop background picture , or a anti-virus program that is running , or firewall--- All your start-up programs when you boot-up take a certain amount of ram each from the total amount -- like Yahoo messenger. Shut down any program and it does not use up any ram --- only space on your hard drive.
