I have a slightly a sore throat. I say slightly because it's not the usual sore throat I'm use to. I'm 22 but when i was little i use to get the sore throat a lot. But since about Monday/Tuesday I experienced this weird sore throat. I don;t feel it when i drink something cold or doesn't hurt when i swallow. But it feel kind acidic..strain. I;ve taken cold medicine all week and it hasn't help because it;ll come back in the morning.

I've been doing walking exercises (DVD) and drinking water while working out. My throat has never been like this. What is it? What can I take?

I think it may have triggered from a hamburger i ate at school. I put too much mustard that day and had pickles on it. It was really sour.

  1. actually acid reflux can cause a sore throat because of the stomach acid coming up the esophagus.

Stop taking cold medicine because it could just be making it worse.

When you wake up in the morning do you have a bitter taste in your mouth?

Do you drink a lot of carbonated beverages?

Do you eat a lot of Acidic foods?

Also do you tend to feel nauseated or bring food back up?

Do you sometimes suffer from sinus infections or feel like your sinuses are draining?

Do you sometimes suffer from bronchitis

Does sound like acid reflux. If you can go to a drug store and talk to a pharmacist, they will be able to tell you what kind of medication will be good, and sometimes they may be able to give you more information.

Also try cutting back on acidic foods, carbonated beverages and even caffeinated beverages, those are the key elements that can trigger acid reflux

  2. Acid Reflux has nothing to do with a sore throat sweety. Go to a Doctor it could be your Tonsils
