Please tell me some symptoms of knowing if you have insomnia or not because I really feel like I do.

- can't really fall asleep at nights (duh!)

- exasperation

- strange exhaustion

- unwilling to sleep...

- waiting to fall asleep...dreading the creepingly slow hours proir to it.

- waking up quickly in the morning....

please judge from these symptoms and also provide me with more. also, if there is any sort of free online test i could take...that would help. thank you so much!

  1. I used to feel the same way. Please take this into consideration. It worked for me, although I am not you.

I had insomnia. It turned out to be my use of Splenda. Yup Splenda. How could something that taste so good, be so bad?

I like to say sucralose, not Splenda, because that is what Splenda is. And it is in a lot of stuff. Sadly, the package doesn't have to say Splenda or diet to have sucralose in it. You have to read labels. So, you might be using it and don't even know it!

Sucralose is poison. It ruined five years of my life. I had a laundry list of medical problems while taking it, including overwhelming anxiety, depression, mood swings, insomnia, gastrointestinal issues and more.

Go ahead, google: anxiety splenda or anxiety sucralose or insomnia splenda or insomnia sucralose

The slogan, "Made from sugar..." is very misleading. Splenda might be made from sugar, but it is far from sugar. The resulting chemical is an organochloride (chlorocarbon). Organochlorides are typically poisons.

carbon monoxide - made from oxygen so its like a breath of fresh air

  2. everything but the waking up quickly part in the morning is symptoms of insomniac. But have no fear.......exercise is here. I advise you to exercise in the morning for an hour......then throughout the day keep your self busy so at night when you go to sleep you won't have trouble sleeping because your tired. i have insomnia.

  3. Yep.  Insomnia means you can't fall asleep or stay asleep.  There are varying degrees of the condition, and therefore a variety of treatments.  Try the more moderate ones first before moving on to drastic measures.

    * Try getting plenty of exercise early in the day.

    * Take a warm or hot bath before bed.

    * Put a few drops of lavender essental oil on your pillow (must be therapeutic grade).

    * Drink chamomile tea an hour or so before bed.

    * Herbal supplements to try: Valerian (can be used on a regular basis), Melatonin (not for regular use).

    * Try this CD that gets your brain waves to sleep state: http://www.brainsync.com/product.asp?spe...

If none of these work, there are some interesting pharmaceuticals available from your doctor.  Good luck!
