  1. Club ball seems to be more & more the way to get recognized anymore. Also, a lot of girls are putting together their own website and e-mailing coaches at colleges they are interested in attending. Lastly, look at ALL the DII schools unless there is a particular one you have to attend.

  2. Ummm...I think there's only such thing as D1 and D3....but give it your best shot.

  3. There is a D2! as well as D1 and D3 of course, lol I'm not your coach so I'm not really clasified to say, but I would say yes, depending on your skill level...But just keep working HARD! and you will do pretty good I'm sure...just work your butt off! But once again I would say yes! GOOD LUCK! :-)

  4. What you need to do, and do immediately, is find out all of the division two schools that have a small SENIOR libero.  This means that the school's program is used to having a small libero, and typically coaches stick with what they know.  If you do find schools that have a small senior libero, contact their coaches immediately.  E-mail them or fax them a "resume" of sorts.  List all clubs or schools you've played for, championships that your team has won with you as libero, and your stats as libero.  Send them a video highlighting everything that you do well; touches, passing, ups, floor positioning, and the list goes on and on.  Contacting colleges and getting a serious look over is like selling something.  You need to highlight every reason that this school would want you.  You're ability, you're personality, your goals in life, ect.

So find a school with a small libero and get on them, fast, before they find someone else!  Good Luck!

  5. If you're receiving local accolades, then it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to play DII.

    Three major pieces of advice:

    1)  Play club ball with a demanding schedule.  Some clubs will play one or two tournaments...you want to play on one which has significant travel so you can get significant exposure to coaches.

    2)  Make a video.  Do NOT make a highlight reel, do not include your own personal testimony/local press/ Coaches want to see your complete game and leadership on the court.  Have someone videotape one or two matches, and edit it down to your best complete game in which you play.  Send this video along with any recruiting forms that schools want to schools your are interested in.

    3)  Unless your high school is amongst the best in the country, coaches will not show up at your matches on their own.  Email or call coaches of schools where you want to go (try to keep it local), and arrange for them to come see your high school matches.  This is around the time when you would begin to apply to schools.  They'll give you candid feedback as to how you might fit into their team.
