Do I have a chance of getting into Pepperdine?

Question

GPA: 94 unweighted which is a 3.8-3.9 on the 4.0 scale

SAT: 2400 scale: 1900, 1600 scale: 1240, 660 writing 640 reading 600 math, and SAT II's I got 560 in English Literature and 590 in US Hist. Taking SAT again in october and maybe ACT

AP Classes Taken or will take: 5- US Hist, Bio, Euro Hist, Physics, English

Activities: 4 years of tennis, 4 years of golf, 2 years Spanish Club, 2 years of Pennserve(volunteer work), National Honor Society Officer. Work at tennis club in the summer

Programs: Spoke at The Wall in DC representing my school on Veteran's Day, attended a medical program in Boston this summer for 10 days, and took a PreCalculus program at my local college for 4 college credits and earned an A

Language: 4 years of Spanish

Rank: top 10th percentile, top 15 out of 450

You have a great chance of getting in.

I'm a sophomore at Pepperdine, and my advice to you is to really show your personality through the application. What I mean is, you could have amazing attributes and flop on the essay questions, and they may reconsider whether they want to accept you.

Don't write about what you think they want to hear, but write what best shows who you are, so they can make an accurate decision of whether they'd like you here. I think that this is just as important as good grades and lots of extra-curriculars.

My guess is yes.  Pepperdine offered me a scholarship to go there, and I although I had a 3.9 GPA, I did not have any AP classes, only a few activities, and only 2 years of french.

It is worth applying if that is where you wish to go to college.  I recommend applying to a few schools, so you will have choices when you are accepted at them all. (lol)

Looks like you have a good chance of getting into most schools... I think you can pick and choose, and let them be happy they got you.
