Do I have a chance to be a NM, IM or GM?

I want to be a chess master but I dont have enough time to practice very well. I have lost many times in every games that I played because I was not concentrating very well on the game... I am also very busy 'cause I have a work and dont ave time for chess... Can somebody advice me on what to do? preferrably answers from successful chess players who are now experts or masters... please serious answers only

  1. For starters find time to practice, go to Gameknot.com you can play for free and you don't have to finish a game in ten minutes I've had one gaming going for about a month.

    Next, buy Chessmaster 10th Edition, this will give you tip, techniques and even much needed practice.


  2. I'm not a master.  I peaked at class C (well technically B, I guess).  I quit because if you can not dedicate much time to it, you will forever be at a disadvantage against people who do commit much time to it.

    My advice is, "NO, you can not." based on "but I dont have enough time to practice very well"

  3. I am a master...and I can tell you that William B is right:  if you don't have time (and LOTS of it) to devote to practicing, you don't have much of a chance of making master.
