Do I have a greater or lesser chance of getting into college if I do independent study in high school?

I am wondering... I still get a good, respected education right? And I can still get into a good college?

  2. I think you have a greater chance into college if you do independent study in high school. If you are in college you are more become independent because you have different society compare to your high school. It is more better to be independent in high school so that when you are in college you will not have a big adjustments. And I know will get a good and respected education because you can do on your own.

More and more colleges are looking at homeschoolers as an asset.  Homeschoolers are seen as independent thinkers and are known by admissions officers to have good study habits, great note taking skills and are usually more well-rounded, as they have had time to pursue interests outside of academia.

    If you have specific universities in mind, I would check their websites to see if they mention homeschooling or independent studies in their admission information.
