There are a few reasons why i believe aspergers syndrome may be a diagnosis, it would help me move on with my life in the best possible way taking into consideration such a disability.
Here is a brief consideration of my behavior from very young, i hope you can help.
At 3 yrs old my mum noticed i preferred not speak to other children, it continued in a relative way throughout school.
During junior school i would not communicate with the teachers about my school work, or indeed anything much unless i absolutely had to (such as when the school advised my mum to send me to a special school for children with learning disabilities and my mum pleaded with me to start talking more).
Throughout my life i've much preferred solitary activities because i feel people often just get in the way and don't allow me to express my ideas so well because i can't make the people understand my ideas.
I've always been able to write well expressing thoughts but when processing speaking such thoughts its like there is a bad connection in my brain.
I've an above average iq of 130 (although not officially tested, was just done on the internet so probably not very accurate).
I've always been a perfectionist and used to have ocd.
I would like to ask the GP for a referal to have a proper test, but i'm not sure i really need too. Please help.
