Question:

Do I have a mental/personality disorder?

Basically, I only recently started thinking that I may have a 'disorder', but this is just me and I need other opinions.

I found that whenever I am out alone (maybe walking the dog) I will completely avoid any social situations. For example, If I was walking down a street and I saw a person/s I would immediately turn round and completely, unnecessarily lengthen a 5 minute walk.

Mainly, I tend to feel very nervous about social situations and I feel bad after avoiding one - often I tend to wonder about what people think of me when I turn and avoid. If this just me or is it something about my psychological state?

  3. i have that problem too!

ill be taking a run and i see people ahead of me running so I'll just turn around.

I think it's probably a social disorder.  Okay, maybe I'll have to check up on that too.

  4. Sounds like Social Anxiety Disorder which can be treated with therapy such as Cognitive therapy and also meds

  5. It sounds like your just a p***y

  6. Well it does sound a little bit like anxiety, but since you are wondering about it, I would go to see a therapist. Better to know than to wonder.

  7. The way you express yourselves clearly reveals that you are not having any 'disorder'. But I am sure you may not be 'orderly'.

It is simply an ego conflict. Why do you ignore people and later repent for that. Remove that ego and pride and see everybody as equal. If you forget your ego and pride and mix with people without their level, status, age, caste or creed, it will solve your problem. Try to accommodate all types of people. Learn some diplomacy.

  8. Dude,me too.

Like i'm at the market and if i'm going through an aisle and I see sombody;i'll sometimes go through the aisle next to avoid them.

    I don't know.

    Maybe we're just antisocial.
