Question:

Do I have a psychological disorder?

In my mind I have a whole city of people and I control their everyday lives, whether they live or die, marriages, children etc. Sometimes, I don't have time to run their lives and I feel bad about it so I will seclude myself and catch everyone's life up. Is this a psychological disorder? If it is what is the proper name?

  1. i think u are just blessed with a really good imagination. its not doing any harm to urself, right? so its not a psycological disorder.

  2. Ok, the only way to answer that is to see a professional psychologist in person. It doesn't sound like you have a serious problem...you just have a kind of imaginary world! Its quite similar to having an imaginary friend when you're a kid. Maybe, there is something in your reality that you are not dealing with so you have a desire to go into this fake world. You know that its not real (right?) therefore it doesn't seem like you have any kind of psychosis. You also have an extremely powerful imagination - maybe you should consider writing. It could provide you with an outlet for your highly active dream world!

  3. When I read your question, it seems like you are running some kind of mental Sims game. It doesn't sound like you have a disorder, you just have a habit of drifting off to other creative thoughts. It just means you have a particularly active imagination.

  4. I have to agree with Ally M.

If your imagination is that powerful, THAT defining, then you'd have to be a pretty busy person in that world and thus limited in this one.

I'd suggest that you go look for Professional help because, if you are so BUSY in your other world, then you're likely quite ineffective in this one.

    Sash.
