I think I have narcolepsy. I am going to the doctor today.

While typing or talking on the phone at work I sometimes doze off. I even took a 15 min break once, sat down and fell asleep for 45 min. and only woke up cause my boss came and found me.

I am scared to death I'm going to get fired. I have worked there 3.5 years and no one seems to say anything really, but it still worries me.

I work in a call center btw. So i am literally on the phone and all of sudden just fall asleep for a few seconds and wake back up and have no idea what they or I just said.

What does this mean?

  1. you may have mono

    good luck

  2. if u stay up all night that will happen: maybe u need some iron

  3. You do have a medical condition, which may be used as a waiver in case someone noticed or complained.

Your doctor will show you the best treatment depending on your condition, in case it really is narcolepsy. As is said, if you were suffering from it, this is a neurological condition and these are not grounds for termination of contract, unless you were refusing treatment.

Go see your doctor first and then worry about the rest.

  4. My grandfather is the same way. This is actually pretty common. I don't think there is a cure for it though.

  5. Welp theres one thing we dont have in common....I cant fall asleep unless Im in my own bed with all the lights off and everything perfect.....The ol Lady, on the other hand is just like you-Zzzzz...zzzzz
