Do I have a shot at UCs? If so, which ones?

GPA: about 4.0 (weighted), about 3.8 unweighted(sophmore and junior year)

SAT2 Japanese with listening-760

SAT2 Bio-E- 780

SAT Reasoning-haven't taken yet, but aiming above 2000

I have taken 2 AP classes, AP Bio and AP Stat

5 on AP Bio(grade of A)

4 on AP Stat(grade of A)

I am going to take AP English, AP Gov/Econ and AP Calculus AB my senior year

Extracurricular activities:

I am currently involved in:

Chess Club(1 year)

Enviro Sci(1 year)

Anime Club(interest club)(3 years)

starting Japanese Club in the fall of 2009, and thus will be the president of the club

volunteered at church for about half a year(piano player) during freshman year

Since I am going to be a senior this fall, I will only be able to be president of Japanese Club for few months before applying to colleges

Achieved advance level in piano(level 10)

What are my chances of getting accepted into UCs and which ones?

  2. Well, since your a CA resident, your chances are greatly augmented. If you manage to score above 2000, I'd say your chances are probably 80~90%. Good luck!
