Do I have a sleeping disorder???

It's 3:09 am and I am still not tired. I don't like to sleep bc I find it unproductive and night time is the only time I feel happy. Am I weird? Or is this normal? Also can anyone tell me how to go to sleep fast? I am asking this bc it is a real problem for me, I think I have a sleeping disorder. I swam laps for 5 hours straight today and when I got home I was so tired that I went to bed. But I woke up 1 hr later and can't go to to sleep again. What is my problem??

What should I do to fix it?

  1. Maybe your inability to sleep is a symptom of a different psychological disorder.  Try to realize what you're thinking about when you try to go to sleep.  why can't you sleep?  Is your mind racing, do you always wake up right as you're dozing off?  If you really want to understand why you can't sleep, you need to analyze the whole situation.  


  2. Here are a few tips on getting a good nights sleep...

    Stick to a sleep schedule.

    Exercise

    Avoid caffeine and nicotine.

    Avoid alcohol.

    Avoid large meals and beverages

    Avoid medicines that disrupt sleep

    Don’t take naps after 3 p.m.

    Read or listen to soothing music.

    Take a hot bath or shower

    Have a comfortable sleeping environment.

    Go out during the day

    Don’t lie in bed awake.

    See a doctor if you continue to have trouble sleeping.  

  3. Yeah, think about what things are going on in your life right now. Do you usually have a lot on your mind when you go to bed?

  4. Hey I have the same problem,I am haveing to be in bed at 10:30 but that isn't going to happen it is 11:16 and I don't know what to do I don't drink coffee and caffene doesn't bother me one bit I go to bed and everyone is out in the living room it bothers me tehe i dont know!!!
