Do I have an eye disease?

About a week ago my right eye starting seeing flashes of light exactly at the time when I laid down on my back in my bed in the dark room. The flashes I saw were very brief and only stopped after I closed my eyes and covered them with my hands for a couple of minutes. In my right eye the upper eyelid feels softer and the eye feels like it's a little more outward than the left eye. After the flashes stopped, my right eye started to feel uncomfortable. The next day I started to feel heaviness in the top part of my right eye and lower part of my forehead between my two eyebrows, like something is weighing down on it, but they are gone now. Also, a few times when I open my right eye wide, it hurts a little but not anymore I think.

I used to see white sleepies in the corner of my right eye but I don't see them anymore after that eye problem started. I don't see the flashes anymore but the main problem I have with my right eye is that sometimes I feel a tiny pain during the day which affects the way I sleep. Now every time when I try to go to sleep I can't due to the tiny pain I get in my right eye so yeah, I'm not getting enough sleeping hours but I don't feel tired anyway.

I had the optometrist dilate my eyes to check for retina problems but she couldn't detect any yet so she wants me to come back for a follow-up. How long does it take to detect an eye problem because I don't want them to keep dilating my eyes? It scares me. I see blood vessels near my iris in my right eye but not in my left eye. I also see this wavy blood vessel in the corner of my right eye. I think the little pain in my eye comes from the blood vessels but not certain.

Are these symptoms I experience associated with any eye disease(s)? If so, what is it or what are they?

Thanks.
