Do I have eyesight problems?

I am a 14 year old girl going into the 9th grade this year. Let me first tell you about the history of eyesight in my immediate family:

My 18 year old brother got glasses around 1st grade.

My mom got glasses around the 10th grade.

My dad didn't lose his vision until college, and now has

very poor eyesight. (around 20x200)

I have always had perfect eyesight up until about a year ago when i am now 20/30. I know thats not big at all, but lately it seems like i lose focus more. you know when you let your eyes go out of focus and it gets blurry? this seems to happen to me, but it always then goes back to normal. is this a sign that i may need to get my eyes checked before school starts in a few weeks?

  1. Blurry vision is not hereditary, but blurry vision is catchy. We can pick up on the blurry vision behaviors of our family and friends. Staring, squinting, straining, and diffusion are incorrect vision habits that squeeze our eyes out of shape and give us blurry vision. Worrying about vision because so many in our family have it can encourage blurry vision habits as well.

I am a Natural Eyesight Improvement teacher. I work with an optomotrist that is open to natural ways. He had me teach one of his patients who was measuring 20/40 on the eye chart. Within 10 minutes the young man was reading 20/20, measured by my optomotrist. His father who was listening and doing also noticed an improvement in his sharpness.

People who are so close to perfect eyesight and have not worn artificial corrections(glasses, contacts, lasik) can become aware of the correct vision habits very easily. They should allow their interest to move through the picture that they see like a dog on a retractible leash. They should allow their interest to rest on the smallest details they can make out in their blurry area. They should never try to hold their eyes still or squint to bring clarity.

  2. a dr. would be the only one who can answer that for you. I would recommend getting your vision checked

  3. you should probably get your eyes checked.

your eyesite is mostly likely changing and fluctuating due to your hormones changing and your body changing

  4. Your probably fine, but I think that you should get your eyes checked just in case.
