I'm am very shy and there are many TIMES I can go through a whole day not talking. Because of this, when I talk, I have tongue-tie, often mispronounced words, problem with enunciate words and stuttering. People often tell me to repeat what I'm saying. Do I have language dyslexia?

  1. no you don't. I do the same thing too (minus the not talking for a whole day) but i can keep silent for a long time. and people say that i begin to lower the volume of my voice while i talk at times. I think it may just be a personality thing. but im not to sure.

  2. i dont know but i go through the same thing each day!i just have problems of what to say so i say nothing all day.i could go speechless for months if no one asked me to talk!lol.if have problems like I go tongue tied and i say like when I say this is my BEST friend I once said this is my BREST friend. So embarassing.

  3. It might be a good idea of make an effort to talk to people more.  What kind of family group do you have.  Are you in school or do you work?

What about buying things?  If you are an adult did you have this problem in school? Your written English is very good so it is not lack of vocabulary.  I am not surprised that you might be a very quiet person but find it difficult that you are able to exist this way.

  4. You are fine, you just seem to be shy that's all, that happens to me too, try to gesticulate when you talk and your voice should be hear able .

  5. Sounds like you are super self conscious.  Communciation, like many other things, requires practice to be good at it.  You need to find activites that allow you to practice without feeling that you are under pressure.  Drama, speech, debate clubs or even choir will help.  You may feel a bit under the gun when performing for a group, but that's ok.  Communication with other people will seem a walk in the park after that.  If you can practice with a group of people that you do not crave acceptance from, it will be easier.  This is where siblings are helpful.
