had gap ins with finance co, I lost my job after hurricane katrina ,finance co told me i was not eligible for ins because i was not employed 12 months before i got car loan , car payment was 4 months behind when finance company contacted me about this and still wanted me to be responsible for paying ins plus late fees so i told them to come and get their car and 2 days later they did , car was sold at auction for 3000 i only owed 3500. finance co trying to get 2500 from me . please help I am being hasseld work and home cell please help do i have a legal ground to stand on ,

  1. You owe the balance left on the note and any other fees associated. That includes late fees - interest.

    Ask the finance company to send you a breakdown showing what the 2500 is that is owed.

    Then set up a payment plan with them.
