Question:

Do I have low blood pressure?

I take my own blood pressure at home and I did a blood pressure reading this morning that measured 99/66 and then again this evening and it measured 95/61. Is this considered normal or too low?

I have also been suffering from a lot of headaches, feel really cold and fatigue. Could any of these things be related to the low blood pressure?

  1. Those readings would be considered as a bit on the low side, and could lead to you feeling a bit light headed, or possibly to pass out.  Generally low blood pressure is considered to be less 'dangerous' than high blood pressure, but it is worth going to your Dr to have it checked out.  Remember that home BP machines are not always totally accurate and that the time of day, and preceding activity can also affect your blood pressure readings.
