Question:

Do I have problems in social status?

I'm a freshman somewhere and I have no friends (not that I know of). People think I weird just because I put my head down when I talk. They think I hate them when in reality, I ALWAYS have a neutral opinion. I'm very respectful but my school is white-washed (not offense to anyone). Because of that, they think you have to wear the same clothes and like the same things to be contacted at all.

Since I'm so scared of people, I hide in the bathrooms and sit in corners so people won't notice me. We're not racist or ghetto. This is the country side.

Please tell me if I'm antisocial.

  1. I love you

  2. Well, to start off with, how were you with people before you became a freshman? Maybe sometimes it isn't the fact that you are antisocial--it's more like you can't find anyone you can relate to, or just get along with. From what you said, "...wear the same  clothes..." it sounds like you just don't like their lifestyle (that's what I'm going to call it xD)--nor want to be the same as them---it sounds scary that they wear the same clothes and like the same things. Just try to look for people who might feel the same way as you do. You might be surprised that there are people like this but everything just blends in so well.

  3. You are not being deliberately anti-social but your attitude is probably giving the other people the impression that you are. You need to work on your self image. Try looking at others directly in the eye when you are talking to them. I don´t doubt that this is difficult for you but your future depends on your changing, so have at it. Good luck.
