I was at the pool, and we were throwing sun flower seeds at the squirrel. I was picking up some that he missed and throwing them further away. IDK if this is true, but I've been paranoid about it. This didn't happen, but that funny feeling that I should ask some1 keeps urging me to ask u guys, what would happen if one of my fingers brushed against one of the shells that he chewed on. (he ate the top off, ate the seed, and dropped the bottom shell) If I touched that bottom shell, which I doubt I did but I get paranoid rly easy, would I have rabbiis? Or does it have to ACTUALLY bite u? (I did wash my hands in the pool and the sink about an hour or two l8r)

  3. First of it's spelled rabies and you probably don't have rabies but to be on the safe side perhaps you should go to the doctor.

  4. No, you don't have rabies.

The only way you can get rabies is by a rodent biting/scratching you.

  5. Well I doubt you have rabies. The typical spread of the infection is through the animals bite, although it is transmitted through their saliva. As long as none of the saliva (Although the shell could have had none anyway) got inside of you and you weren't bit, then you'll be okay. Also, the squirrel didn't neccesarily have rabies. The whole idea of the percentage of squirrels with rabies is overblown to the extremes. Don't worry too much. If you show the following symptoms have a doctor check it out:

    Paralysis

    Cerebal Disfunction

    Anxiety

    Insomnia

    Confusion

    Agitation

    Abnormal behavior

    Terror

    Paranoia

    Hallucinations

Also, try to avoid coming in contact with squirrels in the future.
