hi I'm a United States Citizen, I was crossing the border so I can visit my friend and the Canadian immigration started asking the silly questions, after that he told me your US citizen you have no right to come here we let u in a privledge but u have no right to come here, its up to us.

" is this true ? isn't their some kind of treaty between canada and united states that citizens can get in if their is no criminal record . ? I mean can they really refuse me just for the h**l of't ?

  2. It is not your RIGHT to enter Canada.  They do not have to let you in.  Usually, there is not a problem though.  Maybe this guy was having a pissy day or maybe you said something he didn't like.

Try only to answer their questions as simply as possible.  Better luck next time.

  3. They can do whatever they want,,it's their country. I'd try again at a different crossing. Sounds like that guy was just being a pain.

  4. yes they have the right to deny entry to anyone

  5. Different country, Different laws, Different customs, and often, Different language.

Tu veux de la sauce poutine pour allonger tes frites?

  6. Yes, it's true.  You have no "right" to enter Canada.  You are a guest there.

  7. You have rights defined in the Constitution.  These rights are considered inalienable in the United States.  That means that they can not be taken away from you arbitrarily, or by law.  However, Canada does not have our Constitution.  If you cross a border to go into ANY other country you are subject to their laws, as well as the laws of the United States.  There is no country on earth that HAS to let you in the country.  Crossing the border is a privilege, not a right.
