I asked a certain bingo site how much percentage they took from each ticket sold which i thought would come under the freedom of infomation act and they have e-mailed me to say it is confidential so couldn't tell me.

Surely I have the right to know. Any help in this matter would be appreciated xx

  1. Freedom of imformation act applies to information controlled by the  government.

Corporations can have secrets in order to protect their product.  Like the 11 herbs and spices in Kentucy Fried Chicken or the formula to Coke..

  2. i agree with you, i goto bingo and pee'd off that they rip us off.

you think how much money they get from an individual and they then get a very busy hall and yet they offer c**p money.

    it's a rip off!!!

i will be watching this question as i would like to know too

  3. i think its a big set up i watched two old ladies win 2 grand and not even smile

the week after two really rough women won 1,000 and dident even flinch or have a conversation i know for a fact these women are poor why dident they chat or laugh etc mmm a bit dodgy i reckon.next time you go  just watch the winners faces

no way would i play online

  4. As another poster mentioned, the FOI Act doesn't apply to private companies. It's not surprising they don't give out their profit margins - that's the sort of information their competitors would find very helpful to undercut them.
