I want to be an actress when I grow up.

I can act mad, happy, excited, etc. BUT I CAN'T CRY! I can act sad but I can't make myself cry! Can I still try out to become an actress if I can't cry?

  1. Your in the same condition as me but except that I can actualy cry on cue. The way I cry is that I think about the most sadest thing but you don't want it to be to over powering that it will make you cry the whole time. Good luck on ACTING!! I might see you one day when we are famous!

  2. Acting requires both talent and work.  If you have the first and commit yourself to the second the rest will come - including crying (though you may have to fake it for a while)

  3. Well, the problem is that you do not have enough experience acting and you do not know what acting is all about. When you learn that and do it, you will be able to cry. Acting is not pretending.  If you have talent.  The way to find out if you have talent is to be in lots of school and community plays, do any performing you can. Then after several experiences, if you are getting good roles and good feed back, you might have talent. That you would be the time to take a professional acting class.
