Do I have to be the originator of the group to be the moderator?

Someone else opened the group but does not want to be the moderator. Can that be transfered?

The person who created the group (the owner) will have to make you a moderator.  You can contact the owner and ask if he/she will either make you an owner or a moderator with all available privileges.

Moderator status can be transferred but it must be done by the owner of the group. Here is how you it can be done:
