  1. You might need to take them all in on your first day. When you have been given a timetable, you will be able to leave the ones you don't need, at home. EG. if you have various subjects, you only need to take the books for those subjects on that day. If you are still unsure, just ask your teacher/lecturer which books you need to bring. When I was studying English, we had over twenty books that we had to use throughout the term. On any occassion, we could only study one book at a time and we were told which one to use.

  2. No, but bring them on the first day.  After that, you usually only need a notebook.

  3. Most of the times, professors like students who study hard.  It doesn't hurt to show them that you are dedicated to get good grades.  After all, many jobs will ask for your college transcript.  If you do not maintain at least a 3.0GPA, its hard to get an internship.  Think about it!

  4. i dont think so i am a senior in highschool and so far i havent needed to carry all my books but i carry most of them

  5. You don't carry them to class.  Your books should stay at your dorm or home or car.  There is no need for them in Lecture.  College isn't class, they are lectures.  You get lectured by a professor or grad student and you take notes.  The only time you use your text is for Homework or for studying.  But never will you have time to look something up during lecture without missing information.

  6. The first day of class you will need to bring your books. Usually on the syllabus or in the first class it will be talked about as far as bringing you books to class. I did have one class where the professor stated to bring books every day, took another class where the professor stated it was not necessary. I would say though a majority of lecture classes you do not need to bring your book. For my math classes I did need to bring my book.

One helpful hint is if you take a full semester (12+ credits) those books can become extremely heavy for a carry backpack. What I did is get one of those roller type backpacks so I did not have to break my back in the process of my education-- helps a ton.

  7. Bring them the first day of classes, then you can decide whether the professor uses it or not during the class.

Last semester I only had to carry books for 2 classes.

  8. No, unless the professor wants you to if you are doing group discussions or projects in class that involve one of your textbooks. There is no real reason to bring the book. The book is supplement and is supposed to be read at home, ahead of time.

You can bring it the first day if  you want but there is a good chance that other students won't have their books yet. Professors know this. Most of the times the first day you go over the syllabus and you might get into some of the lecture if they feel like it.  A lot at my school are nice and let you go early  but let you know that it will probably never happen again. lol .

  9. just take 1 rejister...they dont even provide notes...
