Do I have to downgrade my PSP's firmware ,from 2.9, to run most Homebrew applications?

I have installed eLoader and it looked like it was going to load the applications but then just craps out after about a minute. There is no specific application that I am trying to install. Just any application at this point.

  1. every homebrew requires you to be at 1.50 or custom firmware

    no homebrew will work on anything else


  2. Yes you do. they can only use 1.5 but if you look on the internet you can find a program that uses 2.9 and you can play it on that.
