Do I have to enter my step parent's financial info on the fafsa?

i am 18 and my mom is remarried. my dad doesn't support me at all. i live full time with mom. i am starting college next week. my mom really hasn't worked outside the home for 7 years taking care of my little brothers and sister. is my fafsa determined by my step dad's financial info?

  1. I would guess yes, especially if he is claiming you as a dependent as he should be.


  2. Yes, you must include your step dad's income when filing the FAFSA. If it's a private college, they will also want your real dad's info on their own aid application.
