Do I have to get a blood test to check for ADHD?

My mom thinks my selective mutism is somehow linked to ADHD and she wants to take me in to get checked for it. Do they have to take a blood test? Because to be honest, I CAN NOT STAND NEEDLES.

  1. no but the tests are really annoying, i had to take some for ADD they are so boring and you will get bored, but best of luck to you


  2. Hrmm. That would be an interesting way to check for it...Hehe. No. They don't use blood tests. By simple tests they mean like tests tests. They ask you questions and make you answer questions and do stuff.  

  3. there's no blood testing involved... you meet up with a professional in the field of mental disorders and you take this test that's similar to an IQ test..there are also brain scans
