cause the place I get my tires done is a small place and doesnt' do allignments. They said I need one, so I will have to go to the city to get it done. Do I need this every time I get my tires changed (From winter tires, which are studded, to summer tires, which are not)?

  1. Only if there is tire wear that is angled, cupped or obviously caused by misalignment.

Tire wear caused by under or over inflation doesn't count. that's YOUR fault.

  2. It is not necessary. You only need to get on if you feel your car pulling either left or right. It is just a way the tire companies try to make more money. I would not do it unless there is an issue of that sort

  3. Have you vehicle aligned at least once a year for safety and for maintenance.

  4. You should. Every time you hit a road bump it messes with your alignment.  You should do it atleast once a year (I do it twice when I switch my tires) because you are spending the money on good tires and then putting them on a car with a bad alignment.  You will get a longer life span out of the tires, if they are wearing properly.  You dont HAVE to do this.... but in the long run you will be saveing yourself money.  Good Luck!

  5. you should have it check and if their a reputable place they will tell you if it doesn't need it.

Once you start wearing the tires in a bad pattern it will continue.

He maybe an auto mechanic but I have millions of miles on my belt and I know that even if the car isn't pulling I can still get uneven wear if not checked. I have a jeep out there that i got and the wheels don't pull a bit and I have bad tire wear on it.
