I've only been at this job for two weeks. I have another offer- much closer to home, more 'in my field' etc... I am still in the training mode at this job, do I need to give two weeks notice when I quit? Thanks for the advice!

  1. If you plan on using them as a reference you should, I bet they'll just let you go, why would the waste their money to keep you two more weeks for no reason.

  2. Probably not two weeks. I think that would be illogical, but some notice would be appreciated - say a week.

  3. A week would be adequate in this case.  I assume your new place wants you ASAP - if they don't care when youstart  then go for two weeks notice.
